My name is Addison Welsh, most commonly known as Addie. I am a sophomore at Illini Bluffs High School, a small school located in Glasford, Il. I have always enjoyed the school atmosphere and I always prioritize grades. In college, I plan to study either Physical Therapy or Secondary Education. One thing that I want is to be challenged both in the classroom and on the field.
I have played softball ever since I was 6 years old and fell in love with the game. From this moment, I have always dreamed of the opportunity to play at the college level. I primarily play shortstop and second base, but I can be a utility player. I am able to bat anywhere in the lineup. One thing that sets me apart from other players is that I am a versatile player that can both play the field in multiple spots and bat anywhere in the order.
Softball has offered me many great opportunities and has overall made me a better person. My untimite goal is to play softball at the collegiate level. I am willing to do whatever it takes to continue playing softball to inspire younger players and make the sport grow. The most important thing to me when deciding on a college is not what division the school is, but whether or not I can continue playing the game that I love.
