Dear Future College Coach,
I want to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. For the past several years, I have been working very hard to achieve my goal of playing college softball. Specifically, during the off-season I workout three days a week and also hit two days a week. In addition to this, I have gone and plan to go to several softball skills’ camps. Finally, I have noticed that my bat speed, foot speed and arm strength have all increased over the past year or two. I think this is because I am training so hard.
Along with training, I am one of the top students in my class as I have received straight “A” grades through my 9th grade year. My older sister was Valedictorian of her class and I am hopeful that I can be as well. Also, my Mom is a Chemistry/Physics teacher at my High School and my Dad is the District Superintendent. As a result of my parents working in my school I am constantly held to a higher standard both at school and on the ball field. I feel so far that I have met both their high expectations and my own.
Overall, I think I would be a great college softball teammate as I am very easy to get along with and have a positive personality. In addition to those qualities, I know that I will have to work hard in order to reach my goal of being a impact college softball player as well as a great student. I think my hard work and dedication can and does rub off on my teammates. Anyway, I hope that I am given the chance to play at your school. Thank you for reading.
