I am Ava Jacklin and I play for the Sparks 16U Red. As I enter my sophomore year of high school, I believe playing softball has shaped me into the person I am today. Playing a sport requires mental toughness and teaches me how to face adversity. Even on my most successful day, there is always room for improvement. These skills also help me in the classroom. I believe being a great student is just as important as being a great athlete. I love being a student athlete because I am learning how to manage my time more efficiently. As I continue to grow as a player, I can’t wait for the new opportunities I may have during the seasons to come. I continue to work each day in hopes to be the best version of myself and to play at the highest level.
