My name is Lauren Bossingham. I am currently a junior at Le Roy High School. I have been playing softball since I was 5 years old through our intown rec league. I have played competitive travel softball for 4 seasons, and am entering into my 5th season. I started varsity for all three of my junior high years, playing centerfield and pitching. As a freshman, I started varsity as an OF, and pitched as well. While those are my primary positions, I also play short stop. I am a solid batter and continuously improving. I attend pitching camps and have gone to a pitching coach for five years. No matter what team that I play for or what position, I always bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and determination to improve. I have a passion for the game and would love to play at the collegiate level.
While playing college ball is a goal of mine, I would also like to find a good college fit to pursue my desire of becoming an orthodontist. I stay very busy with school and travel softball, but always make my education a priority. In addition to sports, I am also on student council and volunteer at local food banks and mission trips through my youth group at church. With my skills and positive attitude, I am confident that I would be a great asset to any team.
Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
