I have grown up playing the game of softball. After being around the game my entire childhood, there became I point where I knew I wanted to play too. Since then, I have been working incredibly hard and I have been blessed to work with some of the best coaches who have truly shaped me into the player I am today. During my early teenage years, I began to work with a personal trainer who works with a lot with baseball and softball players, and I truly started to learn what went into creating a great athlete. Hours of hard work paid off and were soon easily noticed during my performance in games and practices.
This past year I made varsity softball at a high school with a student body of over 4,000 people. This is my biggest accomplishment so far in my softball career and I cannot wait to continue to grow as a player over my next years, both in high school and in travel softball. By making varsity as a freshman, I have learned by example from my upperclassmen what a true leader consists of, and the importance of being a team player, not only a physical asset.
My training and freshman career have not only helped me develop into a better athlete physically, but have greatly improved my mental game and leadership skills. Those skills have not only helped me on the field but in school as well. Apart from my height and physical abilities, one of the biggest, most important parts of my game is my ability to lead a team and bring them together, which is incredibly important in any game situation, and in real life. I would love to take my physical game and leadership skills to the next level.
