Taylor Hames '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Taylor Hames. I am primarily a pitcher and utility player. I mainly focus on second and third base, but I can play any position where my team needs me. As both a student and an athlete, I am hardworking and dedicated to improving my skills. 

I have played organized travel softball for six years, and I played instructional league for six years before that. I now play for the 16U Lisle Slammers and on the Kaneland Knights Junior Varsity team. I also play tennis for my school during the fall just for fun, and to improve in some skills like getting faster and it also helps with hand-eye coordination.

I am just as committed to my academics as I am to my athletics. I have a 3.89 GPA. I have not yet taken the SAT or ACT, but I am getting ready to do so. I try to take classes that I like and enjoy in order to get the most out of my learning.

I am looking to major in psychology and minor in Spanish to pursue a career as a sport psychologist. 

I have and always will put all of my effort, energy, hard work, dedication, and love into the game of softball.
