Julia Bell '20 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to get a graduate degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and have been very college driven since I was little. Up until recently I was down with an unknown illness that took me out of softball for 2 years. I've come back my junior year more focused and driven than before. Losing 2 years of the sport I love changed my attitude and my drive. Coming back as team captain of a brand new ball club encouraged me to step up my skill and leadership. I play the sport out of love for the game and the competition.  There was a point where playing at all was a struggle that I overcame. Now I see the struggle of being good enough to play for a college level team as a competition and stepping stone that I can be overcome.
