Personal Statement

My goals while I go to college are to be very successful not only as an athlete, but in my academics as well.  The first thing I would like to achieve is getting a softball scholarship to a good school.  While I am attending college, something I intend to achieve is to be the best I can possibly be as a person, student, and athlete.  To become an all American softball player has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.  Finally, one of my long-term goals is to eventually be a veterinarian.

I believe that I am a good candidate for your team because I work hard for everything that I have.  I don't give in or give up because something is challenging, I work until I succeed.  I don't just practice to get something right, I practice until I can't get it wrong.  I get along with anyone that I meet, and everyone gets along with me.  Also if a teammate is down about how they hit or made a mistake, I help them to stay up and keep going.

I am different from other recruits in character because for one I have integrity, I don't just do good things for my community or anything else for the glory or recognition, I do it just because it's the right thing to do.  Responsibility is another example of my character.  As the captain of my high school softball team, I make sure everyone has the right equipment for every game, wears the right uniform, stretches properly, and takes care of their body.  That was just to describe a little bit about my character.  In athletics I'm diverse from others because of my natural ability combined with work ethic.  I train very hard to become the best I can be.  I'm not scared to try a new and challenging drill, or even failing at it, I just try my very hardest to improve my skills.  I feel I'm different than others in academics because high school came fairly easy for me.  I never blew an assignment off I always took it seriously.  I studied what I needed to study for every test and I succeeded rather easy.  Coming from a small school also played a role in that.  I believe all these things are what truly sets me apart from all other recruits.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
