Kyra Lard '21 Recruiting Profile

I found softball when I was 6 years old and have loved it ever since. I have been playing competitive travel softball since I was in 4th grade. Through the years I've also played volleyball, basketball, and track. Although I have played many sports, my dream has always been to play softball at the collegiate level.  I know to play softball at this level I have to work hard,  stay focused on my goal, and learn from my mental and/or physical mistakes. To play at the collegiate level I know I not only have to work hard on the field but in the classroom as well. I work hard to maintain good grades and always learn as much as I can.  To get even more out of my school experience,  I also participate in clubs such as Key Club and LINK. These clubs help me further build my leadership and teamwork skills. 

I demonstrate my leadership skills on the field by supporting my teammates and showing my strong work ethic during practices, warm ups, and games.  I believe in leading by example and am open to listening to my teammates also.  I have always been very coachable and welcome advice from all of my coaches.  I'm always open to anything that is going to help me be an even stronger player.

I love softball and am going to work as hard as I can to become a great college softball player! I know I have the determination to make that happen.
