Caroline Gatchell '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Caroline Gatchell and I am a class of 2022 left-handed pitcher/outfield from Grayslake, Illinois. I recently transferred to Carmel Catholic High School where I am challenging myself with Honors/AP classes and am involved in their music and choir program.  I want to be able to major in business in college and minor in Spanish, then potentially go on to obtain a degree in Law. I am a hard-worker, and am always up for new challenges. While I was looking forward to playing my 10th ever softball season, and my first as a Varsity athlete, the pandemic has made me appreciate the opportunities that this sport has given me and allowed me to develop into a better pitcher, and I look forward to seeing the field again with my team. This unfortunate situation has given me a new outlook on the importance of Softball in my life. I hope to attend a school that will push me as a player, as well as prepare me for the next chapter of my life moving on into a career.
