My name is Riley Pavelka and I am a Pitcher. From when I was five years old, I started playing any sport I could including softball. I continued to play multiple sports growing up. I am now able to adapt to different coaching styles and have been told that I am very coachable. When I was a freshman, I was able to get experience on Varsity and during my Sophomore year, I was on Varsity full-time. Being able to play with the older girls as role models, truly helped me as a player. They showed me how a leader should act, and now when I am in the pitching circle, I am someone that is positive and reliable for my team. During my last summer season, in 2019 with the Elk Grove Heat, I had 122 strikeouts in the 130 innings that I pitched. In the classroom, I am a determined student and I am interested in psychology, which is what I want to study in college. More specifically, I want to become an occupational therapist to help people. I feel that my desire to be a good teammate, determination in the classroom and skill would make me a great addition to a team.
