My three biggest passions in life are my family, softball and working with kids. I started pitching at the age of 11 for the silliest reason: the pitchers and catchers got to go through the hitting lines first in warmups and I wanted to go first. So I asked my dad if I could pitch! He told me we could try it for a month. And we never stopped. Last winter it sort of hit me in the middle of an indoor game. I'm my absolute happiest in life when I'm in the circle. Nothing beats it.
I want to continue pitching and playing as long as I can. My goal in college is to attend a top university that will allow me to continue playing the game I love while helping me build the skills I need to become an elementary school teacher upon graduation. I take great pride in my schoolwork, have made high honor roll every semester. In my free time I volunteer as a student teacher at my old elementary school, babysit/nanny and work for the local park district running kids birthday parties.
