Hi! My name is Maggie Carpenter. I am 5’7, 140 pounds. I entered the softball world when I was 7, playing on my home town softball league in Seneca Illinois. Recently as a freshman, I led my varsity team to a Regional championship, breaking the school record in wins (33-4). Some of my accomplishments were Rookie of the Year, First Team All Conference, Third Team All State, and First Team All Area for Grundy and LaSalle County. These accomplishments have helped me push for even greater goals this upcoming season.
The biggest influences in my life are my parents. They have presented me with numerous opportunities in my softball career and I’m very fortunate because of this. Particularly, my dad has coached me with the mental aspect of the game. My dad and I enjoy finishing and hunting when we make time to relax. I also enjoy weightlifting and being involved in other school and athletic events/clubs.
It is my desire to continue my academics through high school and college and to work in the medical field. One thing that I believe sets me out for everyone one else is that I am a very driven person when it comes to reaching my goals. When my softball career comes to an end, I want to be known as the kid/pitcher that cares about the team more than myself. I cannot wait to continue my softball career playing in the collegiate level with other girls who love the game as much as I do!
