Hello Coaches!
My name is Payton Brown, I'm a 2023 RHP/SS/2B. I play for the Heartland Havoc 05 and attend Rockridge High School in Taylor Ridge, IL. As a sophomore, I served as a team captain on my 2021 high school varsity team, which went undefeated and won the Illinois State 2A championship. I also led my team and conference in homeruns. I'm a leader not only on the field, but in the classroom as well. I take accountability on and off the field, and strive to make myself and my teammates better every day. I take pride in the little things, focusing on the details, and no one on the field will out work me. I may be only 5'5”, but I am a bulldog on the mound and at every position I’m needed to play. Every day, I work and fight to be the best player I can be. As a junior, I have a 4.167 GPA, and work diligently to be a good student in the same manner I strive to be successful on the field. I look forward to continuing my education and playing softball at the next level since it has been a huge part of my life.
