Softball has always been a passion of mine and my ultimate goal is to play at a collegiate level. At the same time, I fully understand the importance of a strong higher education and the role it plays in my future after softball. I strive to combine academics with my love for softball while excelling at both.
My intended major is psychology. I have always known that I wanted to help other people, especially children, and psychology is a profession that would allow me to do just that. With Indiana University being located in my hometown, I participated in psychological research studies at an early age through junior high. While I initially thought we were playing cool games, I realized later that they were studying my interactions, memory performance, and behavior. I want to study human behavior in order help children deal with pressure and reach their full potential by overcoming phobias or negative patterns of behavior.
I have been a softball player for 10 years now and my goal is to find a softball program to which I can contribute my passion for the game along with my hard work, skills, and perseverance. Over the years, softball has taught me the true meaning of support, team work, sacrifice, and how to overcome personal disappointments. I am highly motivated and will continue to work hard to develop and realize my academic and athletic dreams.
