Insight: Emma’s oldest sister (Kate) was killed in an ATV crash between softball games when Emma was 7. Emma was playing in a different softball tournament in a different town the day her sister was killed. Since then, Emma has worn the #12 in honor of her sister. She also spends most of her free time volunteering for her sister’s foundation: Play For Kate, whose mission is to promote child safety and activities for youth. The foundation built a playground at a softball field in Boonville, IN, built and donated ATV safety robots and trailers, helped a law get passed (HEA 1200 or the Play For Kate Law) in IN to mandate all children 18 and under wear helmets when riding ATV’s. The law carries Kate’s number. Emma volunteers, helps speak, and advocates for her sister’s foundation (Play For Kate, Inc).

Softball Notes:
Emma was the starting shortstop for the Beverly Bandits Norwood team who won the Triple Crown Sparkler (Premier Division) in Colorado and the PGF National Championship (Premier Division) in California. This team went 125-10-3 in the fall of 2020 and summer of 2021. They had a 63 game winning streak, playing in the most elite tournaments all across the country. They won 14 tournament championships. They played in AZ, CA, CO, AL, GA, MO, IL, IN, KY, OH and everywhere in between. They chased the best competition. They beat the best teams in the south (Bolts, Fury, Georgia Impact, Mojo), teams from TX (Hotshots, TX Impact Gold National, TX Bombers), teams from Cali ( Corona Angels McCoullough, So Cal Choppers, OC Batbusters,SoCal Athletics, Sorcerers). They were the #1 ranked team in the nation in 12u and she has played for the Beverly Bandits and been on a top ranked national team ever since.
Emma is a complete player, a true three sport athlete, an intense competitor. In the summer of 2021, Emma hit .437 with 229 plate appearances, seeing the best of the best pitching every at bat. She had an OBP of .507 with an OPS 1.06. She is a line drive hitter. At the PGF National Championship in California, Emma was one of the top offensive players for her team hitting .407. From the left side, the 2026 grad came up clutch in the semifinal game vs So Cal Athletics Fitzpatrick and she went 2/4 and 3/3 against the TX Hotshots in bracket play. At the Triple Crown Championship game in Colorado, Emma went ⅔ vs GA Impact Taylor with a ground rule double to tie the game in the top of the sixth. She has an exit speed of 74mph.
She currently plays for Beverly Bandits Premier. She plays SS, 1st, and 3rd for them. In the fall of 2022, she had a BA of .415, .475 OBP, .985 OPS, and a .509 SLG %. The team went 44-6.
Emma’s primary position is SS, but she can be found playing third, first, and outfield. She is very versatile and has a high softball IQ. She has a cannon for an arm (60+ mph overhand speed) and is fully capable of playing anywhere between the lines. She made outstanding plays, showing great range and versatility in the national championship game in California and in the Triple Crown Tournament in Colorado. Her 6’0 stature, aggressiveness, competitiveness, agility, speed and balance is second to none at her age. She is a 5 tool player in every aspect of the game. Emma was ranked as the #18 player in the nation for the class of 2026 last year and was ranked 3rd nationally as an infielder for the class of 2026. She is getting attention from several Power 5 Programs.
