Personal Statement

I am currently a senior in high school and an avid competitive golfer. I live in Newburgh, Indiana and attend Castle High School. I started golf when I was 5 years old because I wanted to be just like my dad, since he plays golf too. I just finished my fourth summer of travel golf tournaments in Indiana and other neighboring states. Some of the tournaments I participate in are run by Indiana Golf, Golfweek Junior, USGA, and AJGA. Prior to that, I have always done junior golf programs around Newburgh and at my home course, so I have grown up competing with others. My goal is to play golf for the school of my dreams.

In the classroom, I have a 3.7 GPA and am ranked 143rd out of 492 students in my class. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. I work hard towards being the best student I can be and am proud when my hard work pays off!
