Kelsey Maurer '11 Recruiting Profile

hello. My name is Kelsey Maurer and i am 17 years old and so excited for college already! I'm looking for a college that can offer me what im looking for as a career and one that can offer me a spot on a team. I want to play at the college level in softball for the fact that i LOVE competition. i live for the game and spend most of my time playing it. Some of my better qualities that i have been told are that i am vey coachable and that i am very easy to get along with. If you need me to play a different position or try a new technique i will try my hardest to meet your exspectations. I mostly play centerfield because i feel like i can judge the ball for my team mates and help them out when i play and i also like being the leader of the outfield.I am a varsity player and i lead of for the team.I am very fast i have been told but i do have athletic astma so i have difficulties in conditioning but in a game i am alright. some of my accomplishments are two years now i have been all metro for southen indiana and i have recently in the past year made 2nd team all siac. i am interested in alot of diverse schools. You dont have to be a big school for me to like you i really am just looking for a school that can offer me the classes i want. I am passionate about culinary. Mostly the baking and pastry aspect but i want to open my own shop one day. My family is in need of financial help so i am trying my hardest to get to school on my own with little to no money from them. I feel like this way also i am becoming a more mature young women by taking the responsibilities of an adult on myself. I understand there are limited colleges that offer culinary and softball so i am trying to go right now for business managment so like i said one day i can run my own place. i am very open minded toward colleges. I will pick the one who i feel fits all my requirements or is the closest to them. I am interested in wabash valley community college, USI, IUPUI, IU,University of louisville, University of Kentucky, and Ball State. i hope to hear from you soon. thank you for listening to a little bit about me!
