Personal Statement

Hey there! My name is Emily, and I'm a proud member of the class of 2025. I absolutely love softball because it's not only fun, but it also allows me to be part of an amazing team. Being on the field, surrounded by my teammates, is like a second home to me. When it comes to my future, I have big dreams. I'm planning to major in sport management and minor in psychology. I believe this combination will give me a solid foundation to understand the intricacies of the sports industry and the human mind. Family plays an important role in my life. I have two awesome sisters who always support me in everything I do. And speaking of family, my dad played baseball at Bentley, and he's my ultimate inspiration. I aspire to follow in his footsteps and make him proud. Softball has been a part of my life for eight incredible years. It has taught me discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Currently, I play both school softball and I'm part of the amazing Central Maine Carnage travel team. The outfield is where I feel most at home. The feeling of freedom and the rush of chasing down fly balls is unmatched. In conclusion, softball has shaped me into the person I am today. It has taught me valuable life lessons and provided me with unforgettable experiences. I'm excited to continue my softball journey, chase my dreams, and make a positive impact in the world of sports. Thank you for considering my application.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
