Haley Downin Fiel...Personal Statement
Starting as a freshman and sophomore for varsity softball and basketball were the highlights to my first two high school years. However there is no doubt that it has been my seven years of travel softball at a highly competitive level that has prepared me the most for what is needed to be a leader that is dedicated and resilient. It has shown me the value of teamwork and that commitment pays off. I will continue to work hard to grow personally and athletically so that I can become a solid college level softball player.
I have been very fortunate that I have been with a great travel softball program since 10U. We have won many trophies through the years playing together but learning that the tough times make your stronger and better has much value! I am looking for a program that is a good fit academically and athletically but also a place where respect and relationships are built. I believe I am an above average athlete with speed and power that can compete for a position on a college team. I am a dedicated student with strong ethics and character that can be a leader for your team.
