Vanessa Wilson '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Vanessa Wilson and I have been playing softball since I was 9. I instantly fell in love with this sport and continued to play it competitively. I would love to continue my softball career to the collegiate level. 

Throughout the years I have played almost every position on the field except pitcher. This has allowed me to know the role of each position and its challenges to help my teammates. That knowledge specifically helped me through the six years I spent catching. I currently play for Gold Coast Hurricanes in the positions of second/third base and utility. 

In college I am interested in a dual major of animal behavior and business. I would love to one day work with exotic animals and share my curiosity and affection for them. I am looking for a college that will socially and academically support me.
