Natalie Swift '20 Recruiting Profile

Softball is a very important part of my life. Having now completed three years of varsity softball and two years of Varsity School at Planet Fastpitch, I am constantly working to improve my game. I enjoy competing in three sports at my high school, however, academic achievement remains one of my top priorities. After completing an AP Psychology course this past school year, I have become even more interested in continuing to study the human mind in college. I have also become more involved in community service, participating in a service trip to South Africa with Hammer and Chisel (http://hammerchisel.org) as well as being named as a leader in their Strike Action Network which allows me to continue helping those in need and build on the work we began in Cape Town. I am looking for the opportunity to compete at the college level at a university that is both academically strong and a good fit for me athletically. I have continued to learn about leadership and handling pressure as the starting pitcher on my high school softball team. I feel this has played a major part in the success we had again this past season- my third as the starting pitcher on our team. I enjoy the challenge of working hard and improving every day in a competitive environment, and I am looking forward to finding the right team and college where I can thrive.
