Willa Leighton '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Willa Leighton. My main position is 3rd base but I’m also a right handed pitcher. In 8th grade I was a swing for varsity and in 9th grade I made the varsity team as the starting 3rd baseman and the relief pitcher who also was the relief pitcher and was brought in a lot. In 9th grade I was named All-Star for my fielding and for my hitting. I have been playing softball for as long as I can remember. It has made such a huge impact on my life and it is my favorite thing to do. Without softball I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’ve been so lucky to have amazing coaches on the teams I’ve played for. I am also lucky to have made honor roll every term since 6th grade. Playing softball in college has been my dream for as long as I can remember.
