Makenna Smith '16 Recruiting Profile

I am the oldest sibling of four.  I have a twin brother and my other siblings are boy girl twins as well.  I have been fortunate to grow up on a farm in Northern Michigan with both of my parents who have been married for over twenty years.

I am enjoying my time in high school but look forward to the future and playing at the next level.  I am considering a career as a teacher as I appreciate interacting with children as they learn new things.  

I have loved the game of softball from the time I played tee ball! I am a passionate competitor and teammate. Coaches have told me that I have a softball instinct that cannot be taught. I started Varsity as a freshman earning the short stop position. During my sophomore year, the team needed a catcher so I spent extra time learning the position and earned honorable mention All-State honors.   

In my free time I am employed and active in school activities.  I value hard work and believe anything worth doing is worth doing well.
