Softball has always had a huge impact on my life. I started understanding and loving the sport when I was about 4 years old. It was introduced to me by my dad bringing me to the ballpark every weekend to watch my brother play or to watch my dad play.
Playing the sport has made me more confident as a person and as a player. It has also taught me teamwork and leadership. Softball has also taught me how to set goals for myself. For example, my goal for me was to become a Varsity catcher as an eighth grader. I pushed myself to get better and now I am a Varsity catcher.
