Softball in itself has taught me how to be mentally tough and that if you really want something you have to put in tons of work to achieve what you want, at the level you want. Softball has taught me how to be a leader, a good friend, and a good teammate. In college, I want to continue to grow myself as a player and a person. I know that playing at the next level is a huge privilege, and in order to succeed at the higher level you need to put in an immense amount of work. For any team I have the opportunity to play for I utilize my leadership skills to keep the atmosphere in the dugout and on the field enjoyable, while still competitive and serious. Whether I am mid-inning on the field or cheering my teammates on in the dugout, I always look for the positive. Even if we may be losing, I still look for a learning experience to take away. There's always room for improvement, so why not take the bad games to fuel the progress.
