Welcome to my profile! My name is Jaz Gottman and I am a 2022 , 5’10 right handed pitcher.
During my softball journey thus far my favorite memory was competing for a state championship title my sophomore year as a starter. Although, we came in first runner up it was a great experience.
Shortly after starting my travel ball career at 14u, while sliding into second base, I tore my ACL on my drive leg. The timing was unfortunate as I had just started my travel ball career and was looking forward to my upcoming Highschool freshman softball season. It was supposed to be a new experience playing tougher competition and also developing friendships with new teammates. Instead, this season of my life was filled with physical therapy, strengthening and conditioning and trips to the doctor. Looking back on what I thought was the worse time of my life, ended up not only growing my love for the game of softball but also taught me what it means to work really hard to overcome adversity and to stay focused on achieving my goals and dreams. I can now say I came back stronger and faster and for that I am thankful.
I am blessed to be part of a PGF national competing travel softball team and an elite Highschool team. I am learning what it takes to compete at the highest level by playing with and against top competition nationwide. My ultimate goal would be to someday win a women’s college World Series championship.
I am looking for a program that fits me not only athletically but also academically and personally. I believe I have the work ethic, commitment and talent to play at the top collegiate level as well as being a dedicated teammate and coachable athlete who will work hard to fulfill my role and lead your team to success.
