At a young age, I discovered my love for softball. I first stepped on a field when I was almost nine years old and it was just for fun. After playing for a year or two I knew softball would forever be my sport. I've always been a quiet and shy kid but when I'm on the field I feel like I can really be myself. Throughout the years I've always had a pretty good support system behind me. That has really been the motivation I've needed to keep playing. If I had to narrow it down I think my dad is the person that influences me the most. He has always pushed me to be my best and his doing so has made me a better player and a better person. My main focus in high school at the moment is maintaining my grades. In the long run, I want to graduate top of my class academically. Like most high school athletes I want to play softball at the collegiate level. As a freshman, I know I have a lot of work to do to reach my goal.
