Jaylynn Martin '19 Recruiting Profile

    My goal is to find a college that fits me academically, fulfills my potential in softball, and to be a part of a team who supports and pushes me to be the best I can be.  What inspires me to play college softball is the hard work you put into the sport then seeing the improvement, and being apart of a team can be something very special because being away from home you want a team that is like family.  My goal academically is to go to a college that has good education, but I am undecided on my major. 

    I will always be dedicated and focused in both academics and athletics because being a student athlete can be difficult at times, but as long as you stay focused everything should work out.  Being a good team mate is also important because you are with your team mates all the time and should have their backs. 

    I know that working hard to accomplish what you want in softball because I practice 5-6 times a week consisting of fielding, hitting, catching and conditioning.  With my busy schedule I still work really hard to keep my grades up.  As busy as I am I would not change a thing because I really love the game and this is what I want to do.
