I have a great desire to play softball at the college level. I plan to study natural resources conservation and/or wildlife biology in hopes of earning a job in wildlife management. Finding a college that complements both of these goals would be tremendous! By participating in other sports and activities I have grown personally, learning time management and leadership skills. I strive to improve my grades every day and hope to earn valedictorian of my graduating class.
I grew up on a farm. I was taught at a young age to work hard and have good work ethic and what that can do for me personally. I take this into every sport I play, including softball. I am not the biggest player on the team nor have I played competitively for as long as others. But playing in the catcher position, I know I have a great responsibility to my team. I know if my pitchers do not have confidence in me, they will not pitch their best. Thus, I have learned that I must be coachable and give 100% effort at all times. I face every challenge as a learning opportunity.
