Hello,

    My name is Ashlyn Tuss, and I am a senior attending Desert Oasis High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since I was able to pick up a ball, playing competitive sports has been a major part of my life. I have played softball for eleven years, and have played at the varsity level the past two years for the Desert Oasis Lady Diamondbacks. Along with varsity softball, I am also a three-year starter for the Lady Diamondback varsity volleyball and flag football teams, where I have academic all-state recognition, all-conference recognition, as well as being selected the Most Valuable Player by my coaches. I am a firm believer that playing multiple sports is beneficial as it allows me to stay in shape during the off-season while not losing my love for the sport of softball. Not only do I strive to succeed on the playing field, I place an even higher priority on succeeding in the classroom. My course load is comprised of AP and Honors classes. I am also taking two CTE courses in Forensic Science and Sports Medicine as these are two career choices that interest me at this time. Throughout my high school career, I have been able to successfully balance my academic and athletic schedules while maintaining a GPA of 3.82. Playing competitively at the collegiate level has always been a goal of mine, and I hope that this recruiting site will place me on the right path to achieve my dream.
