Softball is a big part of my life. Someone will ask me " what did you do this summer?" or "what did you do this weekend?" and my response will always be "softball". I've been playing for 8 years, and am hoping to continue my journey as a softball player after high school. I've gained such a passion and knowledge for this sport over the past few years on my ASA travel ball team. My personal goal is to play competitively at the college level while earning my degree in Interior Design.
I believe the qualities of being a good teammate mean you're a hard worker, you're dedicated, and you're supportive of your teammates. I am a very coachable player and can adapt to different coaching styles. I am a disciplined player on and off the field. I show up early to practices to get in extra reps, I treat every practice as if it were a game, and I work out 6-7 days a week to keep in shape. Being able to work hard is a good skill to have as a player because it shows that you care and want to be there. I am a supportive teammate and always bring a positive attitude to practices and games. Staying strong through tough times, as in losing in a game or just tough times with school is an important skill to have. It builds on your personality, and it makes you a better person. Being a leader is also a very important skill to have in both school and softball. I know what it means to be a leader because I believe in my team. I cheer my teammates on through everything, whether it's a workout or when there up to bat. I am very passionate about softball, and its always been my go to sport. It's impacted me in so many different ways because I've met the most amazing people, I've learned so much and come such a long way since I started playing softball. Academically, I study hard for tests and try to challenge myself as much as I can. Athletically, I enjoy time on the field because I know that the harder I work, the better I'll become as a player.
