Personal Statement

I am a 5’4” pitcher from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. I will be graduating Union Catholic High School in 2020 and I have a 4.0 GPA in the Distinguished Scholars Program (accelerated and AP courses). As a freshman, I was the starting pitcher on varsity at Union Catholic High School and I was nominated by NJ.com as one of the Best Freshman Pitcher in NJ and the 40 Fab Freshman that can impact NJ state tournament. I was also selected for 2017 Union County Conference (UCC) - ALL-Valley Division HS softball 1st Team as a freshman pitcher and also selected 2017 Courier News All-Area HS Softball 3rd team as a freshman pitcher.

I am looking for a college that will give me the opportunity to let my light shine brightly both in the classroom and on the field.  When I am not studying I am practicing every day to improve my skills.  It is important to me to be a good teammate and always encourage each other to be the best versions of ourselves.  I will always cheer and be positive no matter the situation may be. My ideal school region would be along the east coast but I am willing to travel anywhere to a school that has what I am looking for. I am particularly looking for schools with a strong science program to help me on my path to becoming a Pediatrician as well as a competitive softball program that I can continue my love for the game at the collegiate level.

I have been playing on the Morris County Belles for 3 years. 2 years with 14U and now with the 18U Gold team.

Thank you!
