Faith Rodriguez '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Faith Rodriguez and i’m a junior in Christopher Columbus Highschool located in Bronx,NY. I want to major in being a pediatric nurse and communications. What makes me a great candidate for your team is that im always up and ready to go for any game! Being a team is the most important part of playing softball and if one falls down we all have to work together to pick eachother up.

Anyone in this world can play softball, but what makes each player different is the hard work and love for the game. Living in New York has taught me not to give up, work hard for what you want, and if you want it, go get it because nothing comes without a fight. My parents became my role model when i was 13. I joined my very first travel team in Westchester,Ny and took the city metro north train to get to practice. Later that day, my dad bought our family a car and after that day he showed me his sacrifice to see me in a better position in the future. Now because of his hard work im here to strive to be successful. I was once told that “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”.
