Hi, I'm Aarilin Pitre and I am a class of 2024 outfielder, right-handed pitcher along with a utility player. I started softball while I was also a competitive gymnast, I started gymnastics at the age of 3 and was asked later on to join the competition team. I believe this is where I gained my confidence, my leadership, and my ability to strive under pressure. Gymnastics along with the way I was raised has shaped me into whom I am today, I'd like to think of myself as responsible, independent, respectful, loyal, hardworking, coachable, and a team player. Using gymnastics as a base sport definitely sculpted my coaching style, I love to be able to have fun with my coaches and teammates but also love being pushed to my best ability with tough love.
I have played a total of 6 sports regarding baseball, softball, lacrosse, track, gymnastics, and cross country so I'd like to think I am a very athletic person. Over my years of playing these sports I finally dedicated my training time to Softball and cross country. Yes, I am a dual sport athlete. I love to use cross country during my off season to stay in shape for softball season. For softball I joined my first travel team when I was 12, the team was called the Nationals which was soon renamed under Steel Sports, since Steel has taken over that travel team, I have been playing under that company name but recently due to the fall of the organization in softball I am now under Team Nitro 18u Elite team. When I was 13, I guest played for 16u and 18u teams while playing on the steels 14u team. I was a primary pitcher until the age of 15 when I took on centerfield and fell in love, I decided to take a gap year for pitching because I felt that I did not enjoy this position as much as I used to but will always pitch if I needed to or was asked to. I have been a varsity starter since 8th grade but sadly because of covid, my 8th grade year was cut short but continued as a varsity starter for my freshman and sophomore year as well. During my school ball seasons I was asked to play centerfield along with second base and shortstop where I learned to play each spot in the infield and became a utility player, during 2022 in my sophomore season i earned the award of all league. During my last year playing 16u for my travel team I was asked to be the starting pitcher, and this is where I began pitching again and will continue to do so during my school ball season as a junior and a senior. I am now beginning my fall travel season with the Team Nitro 18u Elite, where I will be playing primarily centerfield along with being the primary pitcher and shortstop for my travel team.
