Personal Statement

Dear Coaches,

Joe DiMaggio once said, "I'm just a ballplayer with one ambition, and that is to give all I've got to help my ball club win." Everyone needs to contribute in order to play as a team. This could count for practicing on that one skill after practice, diving for a ball, talking on the field, getting a hit, or whatever it is that you contribute to the game to help your TEAM get that big win. This is the type of player I was built to be from the start and it will be the same when I reach the college level.

For each team that I have played for, I had to out work the coaches daughter for the position that I love to play, shortstop.  I have also played 2nd base as well as outfield.  There have been many situations during the World Series in Columbus, Indianapolis, or Buffalo where the opposing coach has pulled me aside and told me how impressed they were with my softball skills.

If I was to give you  three reasons that would separate me from other players it would be: knowledge of the game, character, and heart!

Training

  • My father
  • 3 years
  • My father is a Physical Education teacher / Coach and he has been able to train me to get me bigger, stronger, and faster. My conditioning over the years has consisted of plyometric boxes, ropes, and agility. The extra training I have done with him has made me a versatile player that can steal bases, throw out runners, and run down pop flies in the outfield.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
