When I began playing softball I was in 3rd grade and I had no clue what the sport was. I soon fell in love with the game and started to give it my full attention. I have been playing for 9 years and I am going into my junior year of high school. I let my body language speak for me just as much as my voice on and off the field. I am the type of teammate who will understand and give my 110% at whatever position I am playing. Softball has taught me many life lessons including self advocacy, discipline, and being a team player. I hope to continue playing softball in college because I am not ready to walk off the field at the end of my senior year.
Being in honors and AP classes, I consider myself a hard working player/ student. I am taking AP US History and AP Language this year. I took AP World my sophomore year when I received a 4 on my final. I believe academics come before sports and that is why I always work hard to balance my academics to make sure that I have time for softball. I am looking for a college that will provide me a quality education and that will set me on a good path to begin my career fresh out of college and will give me the opportunity to play softball competitively.
