Personal Statement
Hannah Pearson
I have played softball since I was seven years old. My lifelong goal is to play softball at the college level. I would like to play college softball for many reasons. Softball is who I am and I could not imagine my life without it. Playing softball pushes me to do my best and helps me to set new goals. Playing softball has taught me responsibility, determination, commitment, and perseverance. I have learned what it means to be a member of team and how to work with others to accomplish goals.
As a college softball player, I can help your softball program both on and off the field. I am a scholar athlete who take my studies seriously and will serve as a positive role model for others. On the field, I am able to help lift the team up after a mistake or bad inning and I do not let anything get to me. I have a strong positive energy with me. Regarding my physical strengths, I have very good reaction time, glove work and lateral movement to the ball. I throw eight different pitches with a great deal of movement and a marked difference between my fastballs and change up. I am a leader that helps everyone do their best and I am reliable, dedicated, and hard working. I am a player that also is very respectful, a good listener, open to new things and committed to my team. I can bring your softball program a strong work ethic, a promise to do my best, and a positive attitude.
I am looking for a college with a competitive softball program and a highly regarded biology-nursing program. A scholarship is necessary for me to play at the next level and to prepare me for a career in my chosen field.
