Tyler Bergman '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tyler Bergman.  I am a freshman at the University of Missouri located in Columbia.  My major is secondary education english.  The purpose of this statement is to indicate how I'm different than other softball players not only as a teammate but as a young adult.  I'm hoping that my love for softball will help to open college opportunities both scholastically and athletically.   I've always been an extremely hard worker and unwilling to settle for mediocrity.  I am a true five tool player with elite arm strength and able to play any position on the field.  Throughout my high school years I have always had a 'refuse to lose mentality' both with sports and in school.  I have a naturally competitive nature that feeds my drive in life.  I find softball so rewarding because of the challenges it affords each day.  Softball is a game of precision, hard work, and mental focus.  I'm prepared to push myself and lead by example every time I am given the opportunity to play this game.  Ultimately, I want to be a formidable catcher, respected teammate and model young adult.  Softball has given me the forum where I am able to work toward these goals.
