Thank you for the opportunity of being considered for your team and college. My name is Mallory Upcraft and I am currently a senior at Oswego High School in New York. I have been swimming since I can remember but I started competing when I was 6 years old. From that time I have been a strong athlete competing in countless meets and countless sports including: soccer, volleyball, cross county, crossfit, softball, dance and baseball. The dedication I have to training my body has been a steady improvement in my life since I made my first championship team my second year swimming. I would make an excellent candidate for your team because I am dedicated, hardworking and professional when it comes to sportsmanship. I am different from other candidates when applied to academics because I have stepped up as a student and taken as many honors and AP classes that my high school offers as I can, as well as being apart of multiple clubs such as National Honor Society and Youth Advisory Council. I excel in all of my classes as well as in my community, by being a competent citizen and volunteering for many events that include and are not limited to: golfing at the library for elementary students during the winter, COVID-19 friendly trick or treating at my local race track and helping my local animal shelter with supplies. As a swimmer over the years I have learned that the actions we take in high school define us: the way colleges view us as well as professional coaches along the way. I hope that my actions define me as the way I view myself, strong and capable to swim whatever event is thrown at me. Thank you for your time!
