My name is Carsten and I am 14 years old and I am 5'7". I am a right handed pitcher and I play third base as my secondary position. I started playing softball when I was 7 years old in Little League. I continued through little league until I aged out. I started playing travel ball when I was 9 years old. On Varsity, I recorded 101 strikeouts this season as a freshman. I pitched 81 innings this season and had an ERA of 3.443. My batting average was .250. I have been taking pitching lessons since I was 9 years old and have 4 pitches: fastball, change-up, screwball, and a curve. My fastball is 59mph. I am currently working on a rise ball to in included in my pitch selections.
As for my academics, I am in all honors classes and am on schedule to graduate with an associates degree due to the multiple college level courses I am taking. I hold a 98 GPA, and I am 7th in my class. I would like to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy or Athletic Training. This is because of my love for athletics and helping athletes to reach their full potential. I have had some amazing athletic trainers at school as well as strength coaches that have inspired me to follow this field.
