Avery Desner '25 Recruiting Profile

”Being a great teammate goes far beyond sports“. This quote describes perfectly who I am on and off the field. A leader who is always there with the empathy to pick someone else up.  I already know that softball is my heart. My relationship with softball has already shaped me into the person I am and the person I strive to be. Life lessons such as communication, friendship, inclusion and exclusion, winning and losing, commitment and diversity have all began growing deep roots inside of me as an athlete.  With this, my softball skills, development, and confidence have continued to strengthen. I will continue to work hard both mentally and physically so I can prepare myself not only for the game of softball but for the game of life as well. I understand that my GPA may be a factor in my recruiting process. This is not an indication of lack of hard work or attempt to succeed. I wanted to explain to you that due to a diagnosed learning disability I receive services from the school district through an IEP and 504 plan. I have implemented  and learned many different strategies to help me succeed. I plan to continue to strive to be a little bit better everyday.
