”You can’t always control the circumstances-only how you react to those circumstances; you can always control your attitude and your effort.” I love that quote from Jennie Finch. I focus my life on the things I can control, my body language, attitude, effort, and being responsible. I love the game of softball and I hope to find a college that offers me both an excellent academic environment a supportive softball team. I work hard in the classroom and on the field. I am proud that I have earned the Principal’s list and have received the scholar athlete award three times for Varsity Softball and Varsity Basketball. I also have received the Varsity club award as the sophomore female recipient and the coaches award for my hard work and dedication. Through softball I’ve been fortunate enough to travel out of State, learned new skills at College camps, meet professional softball players, make friends I’ll keep for the rest of my life and play in the world series. Through my academics, I’ve had the opportunity to take on an officer position in French Honor Society, be a part of best buddies, and be an officer of teen advocacy group. I have two younger sisters and I take mentoring them very seriously. I coached children’s softball at our local dome, softball for my school’s young leagues, assist my dad coaching my younger sisters team, and work for my town coaching basketball on the weekend to my school’s up and coming athletes. My goal to become and educator is a result of how much I enjoy mentoring and coaching kids. I see the value in teaching them to lead, learn and teach them responsibility for their actions.
