Hi! My name is Daniela, and I am a 5’7 2nd baseman and right fielder. I’m currently a Junior at Roslyn High School. I started playing softball 2 1/2 years ago, having no knowledge whatsoever of the sport beforehand. I liked the sport almost immediately, and I’ve worked hard to get to where I am today. A few months ago, I started to realize how much I wanted to continue softball in college, and I put a great deal of effort and diligence into my training, which helped me earn a spot on two different travel teams the past summers.
I am a dedicated and passionate student, with straight A’s and many rigorous honors and advanced classes. I pride myself on my commitment to school as well as the game, and I want to attend a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I have a strong interest in the medical field, as well as general chemistry, and architecture.
I have played many sports other than softball, including tennis, netball, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, gymnastics, and dance, and I believe this athleticism is what allowed me to adjust to the new sport so quickly. I am a very competitive person, and I always strive to become a better version of myself. I am a coachable athlete, and a team player, and I believe I will fit in anywhere I go.
