Stephanie Grissom '20 Recruiting Profile

I started playing softball when I was nine years old, and the first time I picked up a softball I knew it was my passion. I dream of getting the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.  My primary position is third base, but I also play any other position on the diamond besides pitcher. My energy level is through the roof and I love pumping up my teammates. I am a natural leader in the classroom and on the field. 

Academics are also high on my priority list. I am currently a freshman at Cannon School located in North Carolina. I just completed my first semester with all A's on my report card and on all of my exams. I love learning new things and expanding my knowledge.  Also, I strongly believe that stretching your comfort zone is what allows you to grow. 

One of my passions is serving my community. I am a big volunteer worker for Wings of Eagles Ranch located in North Carolina. The ranch teaches children with disabilities to ride horses in order to strengthen their bodies and minds. I am also a member of Lake Norman Teen Council, a teen service group, and have volunteered for many events with this organization.
