Daira Vargas '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Daira Vargas and I am currently a Junior at South Garner High School in Garner, NC. My primary position is catcher, and my second position is shortstop. Some of my goals are to graduate high school and go to college not only to play softball at the collegiate level but to also major in exercise science.  Something that makes me different from everyone else is that I'm always smiling and laughing. Whenever one of my teammates is feeling down, I like to cheer them up by sharing a smile. When I am not on the field I enjoy spending time with family, friends, playing with my dog, and listen to music.
