Ava Joyner '23 Recruiting Profile

My goals on the field as well as off the field are very similar. I want to become the best version of myself and make an impact where ever I am at. I first want to be at a school that will best prepare me for the world after my softball career. I want to attend a school that will best set me up for success in the professional world practically and academically. Right now in the classroom, I have maintained all A's throughout my high school career and have a 4.53 GPA. I plan on continuing to push myself to be successful in advanced classes to set myself up for success in college. I am a leader in the classroom as well as on the field and I love to learn. I feel as though my softball IQ and my leadership are both things that sets me apart on the field. I love to think strategically, that's one of the main reasons I love softball so much. Thinking through the game makes me stand out as a player offensively as well as defensively. Leadership, mental toughness, and softball IQ are all three things that cannot be taught but make me stand out as a player. In college, I want to develop my skills and  be a part of a successful program that I can impact and that will impact me not only as a player but as a person. I'm a loud, scrappy, and outgoing player and what I lack in height I make up for in the intangibles and I want to be somewhere that will be a fit academically as well as athletically.
