My name is Haileigh Boone. I am a rising 12th grader (2022) and the starting Pitcher at Anson High School in Wadesboro, NC. I love playing Softball! Softball really is my favorite sport, and when I'm not playing Softball, I love watching it, whether on TV or live. I practice a lot and I have pitching lessons 3x a week also.
All my life I have planned to go to College and major in something I will be able to use in life to help people. I plan to study Business. Having a Business Degree will really help me with what I really want to do with my future. I want to have my own Open Produce Market with other fun things to do like having a petting zoo and maybe a Halloween thing and a Christmas thing too. I want a hometown type of business that will bring people in from miles. I love Agriculture and I am part of my FFA in School too. I also plan to get my Animal-Assisted Therapy certification. I love dogs and I love to make people smile! I really want to be able to give back.
I also love Agriculture and I have my own farm animals and garden. I even make Jellies! I have been taking Agriculture classes since I started High School, and I have been growing gardens and raising chickens for a few years now, and I love that too.
I am a family-oriented person. We go to a lot of Softball games, pitching lessons and practices together. My family is always there cheering our team on from the stands. When we are not on the softball fields or doing something softball related, we are almost always still together doing something. I love to ride 4-wheelers (we have a lot of land to ride on,) and I love to be outdoors. I have about 25 chickens and we are incubating more. We have also been working on completely restoring my 1986 Chevrolet Silverado.
In considering me as a recruit for your College, please know that I am the student who will work harder than any other student. I have always been very eager to learn and advance in my academics. I will always be the one on the field after the game trying to help in any way possible to get the field ready for the next game. I don't expect others to always do for me, and I know how to get my hands dirty to make my Softball field something to be proud of. "Hard work always stands out in the end," that is something my Dad has taught me since I was little. I believe you must practice and study and always be willing to help and do what others aren't willing to do.
As a candidate for your College and for your softball program, I will do my best to always be the first one on the field and the last one off the field. I spend my free time studying harder and practicing harder to better myself and my team.
Thank you for the opportunity to tell you about myself, and hopefully make a positive impact on you! YEE YEE! (Translation: live it!)
