My name is Abigail Bastin, I have a strong passion for the game of softball as I have played since I was in the 7th grade. I'm a hardworking student athlete and I make sure I put forth effort into both school and softball while I also maintain employment after school and on the weekends as my schedule will allow. I was a swing player my freshman year of high school playing both jv and varsity games. As a current sophomore I play as a starter on the varsity team.
Being compassionate and hardworking are two characteristics I take pride in . I strive to better myself everyday while also helping others to make a difference in their life. I have volunteered at school with special needs students during their gym classes to help out and have gained friends and a love for helping others as well as volunteered with youth at my church.
In regard to college and where I would like to attend, my preference is certainly not limited. I live in Ohio and have been looking at southern states(Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, etc.) though I’m not opposed to considering other locations as well. The size of the school doesn't matter nor does the type of college; my main focuses are education and softball. My top choice of major right now is Criminal Justice and I am set on having a career after softball and graduation.
Playing softball in college is a goal I am aiming very high to reach and the love of the sport is my motivation. Being on a team is something I love as well as connecting on the field as it is important to me and vital in playing well. I try my hardest to play giving my all, and pick up my team while setting an positive and upbeat example.
