Marguerite Brown '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi coach.  My name is Marguerite Brown.  I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old and fell in love with the game the second I stepped onto the field.  I have an immense passion for the game of softball that grows more and more with every trip to the diamond.   I love many parts of the game but catching is my all time biggest passion.  Being behind the plate is home to me, the excitement I get while being involved in every play gets my adrenaline pumping as I love when base runners test my patients and skills.  Since I was really young I aspired to play at a post secondary level and take softball as far as I can. I am very coachable and a team player. Even though I have always been the youngest player on my team, I take pride in my ability to compete against players that are as much as 3 years older than me.  I am proud of my work ethic, skills and commitment and strive to become a better player at each and every practice and game.  I offer great leadership skills on and off the field. I bring passion, leadership, confidence, motivation, desire to win and a love for the game every time I step on the field!  When I'm not playing ball I work hard in school to keep a high GPA and improve to become a better student.  I am looking to continue my education and softball career at a school that offers both academic and athletic excellence.  Overall I want to compete at the highest level possible and help my team succeed.
